The Dreaming Hand - a workshop interweaving dreams & clay - 10/24 @ 10am-4pm

$125.00

Workshop: Saturday, October 24 10am to 4pm
Pickup and dream circle: Sunday, November 8 4pm to 5:30pm
Mercury Project, 538 Roosevelt Avenue, SATX

Ceramist Michelle Hernandez and dreamworker Leigh Baldwin will be interweaving dreams and clay together in this full day workshop. In the morning, Leigh will guide us through an introduction to dreamwork and an exercise to access our dreams. In the afternoon, Michelle will lead a clay workshop helping us create a shrine to support our dream practice.

Class flow:

  • Introductions

  • Dreamwork: its history, benefits, and practice

  • Connecting with the dream maker

  • Automatic writing/drawing exercise

  • Communal lunch with discussion and Q and A

  • Clay creativity warm up exercise

  • Handbuilding

  • Close of class with journal prompts to take away

All registrants are encouraged to set aside Sunday, November 8 at 4pm to come back together, celebrate our work, pick up our pieces, and share any dreams that have spoken to us.

This class is intended to explore self-expression and the role creative play has in our self-care and intuition-building. No experience is needed - all levels are welcome and invited. This class will be instructed, but loosely, to allow individual creative expression; this space is where guidance and freedom meet.

Other than your lunch, all materials will be provided - simply show up ready to explore the dream world and your capacity to create.

This class requires a minimum of 3 students to proceed, with a maximum of 10 students.

Class is for those 18 years of age and up.

Purchase is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
