Drink Your Flowers - Two-Day Clay and Loose Leaf Tea Workshop with Michelle & Diamond
Diamond and I both have a heart for creative play (via flowers and clay, respectively), self-relating and intuition-relating so we dreamt up this two-day workshop to pull all of that together to share with y’all! Weather permitting, this workshop will take place outdoors at the beautiful Tamōx Talōm Food Forest at Padre Park. $10 from each ticket sell will be donated to the food forest.
Day 1: Make A Tea Set - Thursday, 5/22 (6:00 - 8:30pm)
Class will start with an introduction of the instructors and their individual experiences using creativity as a form of self-expression and self-care. Next, Michelle will guide participants in creating their own tea set including cup, strainer and tea pet.
Day 2: Make A Tea Blend - Sunday, 6/1 (10:00am - 12:00pm)
We will return as a group to receive our glazed and fired tea set and continue with the creative exploration as Diamond guides the class on a foraging tea walk. Weather permitting, participants will get a chance to connect with the land, using our senses, and learn how to sustainably forage and incorporate native plants into a custom tea blend. Part guided, part self-guided: each person will be given the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our local plant allies and make something tasty and meaningful.
To close, we will come together as a group to have our very own sweet little tea party! Light refreshments and hot water for the tea will be provided so we can use our newly fired, amazing pieces and enjoy a cup of tea together before saying goodbye.
This class is intended to explore our self-expression and the role creative play has in our self-care and intuition-building.
No experience is needed - all levels are welcome and invited. This class will be instructed, but loosely, to allow individual creative expression; this space is where guidance and freedom meet.
All materials will be provided - simply show up ready to explore with creation.
Each participant will take home their tea set and loose leaf tea blend at the end of Day 2.
We recommend close toed shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle and a hat when walking the garden. Workshops will take place outdoors so please dress appropriately.
Class is for those 18 years of age and up. (If you want to purchase a seat for a little person, please email me ahead of time to approve).
Parking for class at the Tamōx Talōm Food Forest at Padre Park is 6515 Padre Dr, SATX, 78214.
Purchase is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
